To Ten Million Fireflies

[Momo]

She blinked and then smiled. "Come in then. I don't want you to leave yet." She said, opening the door and peeking in. Her mom and dad must still be out at the festival. She headed in and motionted for him to follow. "Close the door after you." She told him.

[Fox]

He nodded, stepping in behind her. He carefully closed the door behind himself. After closing the door, he turned to her, smiling as usual. His eyes drifted elsewhere, looking at the human home.

[Momo]

There wasn't much to it, bare walls and floors, except for the few furniture pieces that sat off the door in the living room. She moved passed the furniture. "Would you like something to eat? Drink?" She asked.

[Fox]

He smiled warmly at her. "A drink would be nice." He spoke softly to her, as if he were to speak harshly, it would mean ruin to her. He moved towards the furniture. He placed one hand on the couch, testing how soft it was before sitting down.

[Momo]

"Will water be fine? We're almost out of milk and mom doesn't like me drinking." She said with a sheepish smile. A meow sounded and a small cat hopped up on the arm of the couch that he'd just sat down on. "Oh...Hello there butterfly." She said, looking at the cat. The cat meowed and sat down on the arm.

[Fox]

((OMG... Cats can see into the other side, they can spirits and such. Have you ever heard that before?))

"Her name is butterfly?" He asked, reaching out one hand to pet the cat. He liked cats, they were soft. But then again, he liked all animals, or atleast the ones in the near area that he was use to.

[Momo]

The cat looked curiously at him with her large yellow eyes. She let him pet her before jumping away with a purr. "Yup...that's her name." She said. "Had her ever since she was a kitten." She came back with a glass of water.

((Yes...dogs can do that too. ))

[Fox]

He smiled at her when she returned. He shifted on the couch, strands of free hair falling into his eyes.

[Momo]

She handed him the glass of water as she carefully sat down. She reached out idly and brushed the hair from his face, Emily had done that alot to her...telling her not to hide her pretty eyes. She'd gotten into the habit of doing it back to Emily every once in a while and this young man...reminded her so much of her bestfriend. She frowned and pulled her hand away. "Sorry..." She mumbled, feeling suddenly lonely and kind of sad.

[Fox]

He stared into his glass of water for a moment, before setting it down on the coffee table and turning to her. "Don't be sorry." He said. He moved a little closer to her, and then opened his arms, offering a hug.

[Momo]

She stared at him for a moment before shifting and cuddling into his arms, wrapping her own arms around him. He was so warm, so comforting. She smiled lightly and laid her head on his chest with a sigh of content.

[Fox]

He smiled, enjoying the content she felt. He wrapped one arm around her and used the other to stroke her hair gently, comfortingly.

[Momo]

"Do you have to go back...I mean to the place I found you?" She asked after a while. "Can't you stay here? I think i'd like very much to have you as a friend..." She mumbled. She felt safe and comfortable around him, just like Emily had made her feel.

[Fox]

HE thought about it for a moment, then nodded. "I can stay." He said with a smile. As long as his birthplace wasn't harmed he should be fine not being there for a while.

[Momo]

She smiled brightly. "Great! We have an extra room. I'm sure my parents won't mind at all!" she said, grinning as she leaned back to look at him. Her eyes sparkled with excitment.
