To Ten Million Fireflies

[Fox]

"Emily..." He mumbled the name, discreetly patting his heart as if it was in emense pain. His mind flickered out of reality for a moment, showing pictures of Emily's past before bring him back to existance with a smile.

[Momo]

Sandra nodded. "It's good to see she's found a new friend though." She said with a nod. She fell quiet as Maria brought the food around on plates for the two of them and then took a seat with her own plate moments later. "Dig in!" She said brightly.

[Fox]

Hotaru looked at the food and smiled akwardly. His kind did't eat food. There was no need. But, he didn't want to be rude. He picked up a fork and carefully poked some of the food with it before lifting it to his mouth and nibbleing on it.

[Momo]

Maria and Sandra ate, Maria was halfway though her food when she noticed that Hotaru wasn't eating much. "Not hungry?" She asked him with a tilt of her head.

[Fox]

He blushed lightly, afraid to say yes. He simply nodded, turning his head slightly to stare at the floor as he placed his fork down.

[Momo]

"Don't worry about it." She said with a smile. "You should have just said so to begin with." She added as she finished up her plate and moved to take his.

[Fox]

"Sorry." He whispered lightly, watching her take his plate.

[Momo]

"LIke I said, don't worry about it. Dad will eat it when he gets home, even if it's cold." She shook her head and put it on the counter, setting it aside for later. She put her plate in another pile to be washed later and then came back to get her moms. She looked over to Hotaru. "Do you want to come out shopping with me? I have to go pick up a few things." She told him.

[Fox]

He smiled, almost shyly. "Sure. I'd love to." Truth being, he wanted to see more of this human town.

[Momo]

She smiled brightly as she put her moms plate in the pile. "Great! It won't take long." She said with a nod. "Let me go change cloths real quick." She added, heading off. Her mother smiled after her and then turned to Hotaru. "Thank you." She said.

[Fox]

He blinked, half puzzled as to why he was being thanked. 'She must like seeing her daughter happy.' He thought. He looked carefully at the table before standing, and pushing his chair in. He walked carefully to Maria's room and stood outside the door.

[Momo]

She opened the door when she was done changing, smiling when she noticed him. She wore a skirt that came down to her ankles, brown in color. Her shirt was a light tan with flower patterns on it. She smiled brightly at him and pushed hair from her face. "Let's go!" She said, moving past him.

[Fox]

He smiled plesently. "Alright." He moved to follow after her. He still had on the cloths that he wore yesterday, but of corse...These were his only cloths.

[Momo]

She opened the door and held it for him, shutting it afterwards. "I can show you more of the village today." She commented as she waved for him to follow

[Fox]

He smiled, nodding. "That would be wonderful." He spoke softly, following close to Maria.
